This year, the ‘Sports Betting Zone will return’ to the SBC Summit Barcelona. Over 10,000 delegates will have the chance to learn about the latest sportsbook technology, products and services, and to connect with senior decision makers.
The summit, which will take place at Fira de Barcelona Montjuic from 19-21 September, is divided into five zones. Each zone has its own exhibition area, networking space, and seven stages for conferences, giving delegates a chance to focus on their industry.
Rasmus Sojmark is the CEO and Founder of SBC. He said that in an environment where technology changes everything, it’s important to have a smart investment strategy, as well as a product selection. A dedicated zone allows delegates to familiarise themselves on the latest trends in the industry and the strategic approaches that are shaping it.
The exhibition floor will provide attendees with the opportunity to interact with a variety of sportsbook professionals and experts. They will be able to meet C-level executives, as well as specialists, who are experts in different aspects of sportsbook operation, such Sportsbook Directors, Trading Specialists, or Bookmaking Experts.
The sold-out area includes industry giants like Altenar and Delasport. Other companies include EveryMatrix. IGP. LSports. Playlogiq. SIS. Soft2bet. Sportingtech. Sportradar. Stats Perform.

Two sports betting tracks will be featured on the conference agenda. This will take place at the dedicated zone stage. The Future of Sports Betting Track will be held on the first day of the core event. It will elaborate on trends, the impact of strategic thought and include references to tech and gamification. On day two, the Sports Betting Innovation Track will focus on topics like media rights, audience engagement and data.
Panellists in the session titled Sports Betting’s Makeover: the Influence of Streaming and Stats’ will guide attendees into the exciting world of convergence between streaming and betting. They will examine the impact of gamification on the user’s experience. Joey Levy, Founder & CEO of Betr, James McKay, Sportsbook Director at LiveScore Group, Endre Nesset, CEO & President at Coolbet, and Billy Levy, EVP Corporate Development for Rivalry, will examine whether these innovative elements enhance the betting experience, or create unnecessary complexity for the audience.
The panel ‘Esports And More – Bringing New Faces To The Betting Dance Floor’ will examine whether gamification or free-to play games can be used to attract younger generations. Alex Inglot, Commissioner, ESL Pro League, Thomas Rosander, CEO, Luckbox, Carleton Curtis, Executive Chairman, Tundra Esports and Trev Keane, Director Esports Strategy at EPIC Global, will discuss the relationship between esports and betting, the ways in which the two disciplines could learn from one another to drive growth, and ethical concerns surrounding innovative marketing strategies.
Panelists Jonathan West, Director of Sportsbook at ComeOn Group, Dominic Crosthwaite, Chief Trading Officer at Flutter, Max Sevostianov, COO at betbazar, Alex Kozachenko, CPO data.BET, and Aidan Barry, Head of Racing and Sports for FEG, will discuss whether investing in real-time content and data is still worthwhile despite sky-high costs due to growing demand.
The Sponsorship, Marketing & Data Conference Track, which will take place on Stage 2 on September 20th, will focus on the intersection between two sports from both the betting and sponsorship angles.
Throughout the event, attendees will have the opportunity to visit other zones, including the ‘Sports Betting Zone’, the iGaming & Casino Zone, the Payments & Compliant Zone, the Affiliate, Marketing & Media Zone, and the Emerging Tech Zone.
