The all-female CSGO team from India is set to make a mark on the world stage. The squad will compete against other notable teams on the continent in the Asian qualifiers, which take place from July 15-17 in Riyadh.
The team, led by Swayambika (Sway), will play against Kyrgyzstan on the first day and Saudi Arabia the next.
The group stage matches are played using the best-of-1 format, while the semi-finals & grand finals will be contested with a best-of-3 format. The 15 th World Cup will be contested by only two teams. The champions of each group will receive $7000 as prize money. Second and third place teams will receive $3,500 each and $2,000 each.
Swayambika said, “We are excited and confident to represent India in the Asian qualifiers. We are the first all-female CS:GO Team from India.” We have worked hard to improve our gameplay, and are now ready to compete with the best. Our goal is to encourage more women to take up gaming and Esports. We also want to qualify for the 15th WEC. We are thankful to the ESFI, for their coaching and enabling female Esports athletes to participate at the international level. We will do our best to make our nation proud .”
The team secured their place in the Asian Qualifiers by winning the National Esports Championships 2023 (NESC), organized by the Esports Federation of India earlier this year. They defeated Sri Lanka during the South Asian Qualifiers.

The Indian DOTA 2 team was eliminated from the Asian qualifiers after losing to Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines. The male CS:GO squad of India began their qualifiers Thursday.
Abhinav Tekken 7, a renowned Tekken 7 pro, and eFootball player Ibrahim Gulrez, both from India, have qualified for the 15th WEC, which has a prize pool of $500,000. (INR 4,12 crore). This is the biggest edition to date, with 130 countries taking part in eFootball DOTA 2, Tekken7 Mobile Legends PUBG Mobile and CSGO.
