Per Widerstrom has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of 888 Holdings plc, effective 16 October 2023.
Per has over 17 years’ experience in the gaming industry. He held the most recent position of CEO of Fortuna Entertainment Group (a leading omnichannel betting and gaming company across Central and Eastern Europe) from 2014 to 2022. Per has held senior positions in leading online gaming companies since 2006.
Lord Mendelsohn, who will be returning to his role as non-executive chair, will ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities upon Per’s joining the Group.

Per has extensive experience working in public and private companies. He also has a track record of successfully executing value creation plans. Per is a dynamic and inspiring leader who brings to the role nearly 20 years of industry experience. Per has an impressive track record in driving growth and delivering transformative programmes at leading online gaming companies. The Board is delighted to have someone with his skillset on board to help us achieve our goal of becoming a stronger multi-brand international operator by leveraging our data and technology capabilities.
