Parimatch Tech was recently named one of Reuters 50 Leaders of Change. Parimatch Tech was selected by the editor to highlight the innovation, technical focus and sustainability of the online entertainment industry.
It is a remarkable feat in and of itself. But it is even more important when you consider the circumstances in which Parimatch Tech found itself in the last year. The company faced unprecedented challenges after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Parimatch Tech was able to maintain its adaptability and flexibility, allowing it to continue its momentum, despite all the challenges and war.
Exiting the Russian and Belarusian markets
The Supervisory Board of Parimatch Tech decided that Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine was over. It also decided to withdraw its franchise. Parimatch’s platform was disconnected from Russia on March 26th, ending the process of brand withdrawal. Parimatch Tech also exited the Belarus market in the summer with the sale and termination of all relationships.
Refocusing strategic goals
Questions were raised about the future of the company after the disposal of geos and the overall market situation. Parimatch Tech was able to accelerate the implementation of its long-standing plans to enter the B2B market and released a range of products during the year that were ready for operators customers.

GLI19 and GLI33 certificates issued by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) confirmed that the product met the highest industry standards. The platform was also shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards: the SBC Awards (Platform Of The Year) and the EGR Operator Awards, In-house Product Category span (GLI).
Supporting Ukrainian resilience
Without people who, despite war, showed remarkable performance in different areas, none of 2022’s accomplishments would be possible. Parimatch Tech’s support for Ukraine and Ukrainians (including the employees) has been the core of its efforts over the past year.
The company opened a Prague office in May. This not only helped with business expansion but also provided support to all those who were displaced by the war workers in Europe. The Prague office grew to more than 65 employees in 2022 from ten.
Parimatch Tech hosted Ukraine-focused discussions at the international stage for Web Summit 2022 in Lisbon (Portugal). Over 70,000 Web Summit attendees were inspired by the resilience of Ukrainian businesses, and their stories of success despite-war.
Parimatch Tech has supported Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion through donations, volunteering and coordination of corporate charity projects. The Foundation was previously focused on sports and educational projects for children. However, it now supports projects that help children and women in Ukraine to survive wartime, reach safety and take care of their mental and physical health. Over 600 civilians were evacuated in 2022 from war-affected regions. More than 60 tons of humanitarian assistance was distributed and more than EUR 1 million was spent on aid for war victims.

It will continue to use its cutting-edge technology as well as social causes to propel the industry towards a sustainable future technological future, no matter what the next steps may be.
