Sandsoft Games, powered by AAA talent and a mobile-first game development, publishing and investment company, announced the appointment of Ahmed Sharif as its Chief Technology Officer. Sharif was previously Meta’s Head for AR, VR and Metaverse Automation.
Ahmed’s appointment marks another important milestone on Sandsoft’s journey to become a global leader in mobile gaming. The experienced leader is responsible for driving technology and innovation in the company, which boasts a diverse team of over 50 employees in its Riyadh headquarters and offices in Barcelona and Shanghai. Ahmed will be focusing on scaling and improving the Sandsoft Publishing Platform, while also providing technical guidance for Sandsoft’s in-house games development. He will support and guide the studio and engineering team in their development journeys.
Ahmed is a senior engineer and strategist who brings to Sandsoft his extensive experience in building hardware and software to support gaming experiences. He has worked for top gaming companies such as EA and Criterion Games. His titles include Need for Speed, Pearl’s Peril, and Sony Interactive Entertainment. Ahmed’s portfolio also includes development of PSVR1, PS4 Pro and PS4 Pro and EA’s Frostbite engine.
