Miloslav Ivanov, the new Chief Sales officer at Atlas-IAC, has a proven track-record in the industry. He shares with us his plans for the future and the reasons he joined the company.
Congratulations on your new position as Chief Sales Officer for Atlas-IAC. What was your first month like at Atlas-IAC and what exciting plans do you have for the company?
MI : Thanks. I’m thrilled to be working here with such an amazing team. I was able to witness the dedication and passion of Atlas-IAC employees and the way they are all focused on delivering the vision and embracing the latest trends in the global sports betting market.
Atlas-IAC is unique in that it has a vision to automate and eliminate manual labour from data feeds, algorithmic pricing models and other areas. The company’s recent expansion has been driven by this.
Our sportsbook is unique in that it has automation at its core. The risk management capabilities of ours are also very strong. We are able identify risks early, which is a great benefit for both us and our partners.
In terms of future plans, our goal is to expand to new markets that are regulated, such as Peru, while still maintaining a strong focus on Europe, Latin America and Africa, where we hope to have an impact.
Your list of companies includes Delasport DraftKings SBTech. What made you choose Atlas-IAC for your next challenge, and why?
It was the company’s commitment and clear vision to modernise the sports betting industry. Atlas-IAC has a mission, and I believe that we have the same vision for the future of betting.
The cutting-edge technology offered by the company resonated with my belief that automation is the future for the betting industry. I was also impressed by the company’s forward-thinking, experienced team. With a reputation for excellence in the industry, we share a common vision. This was an important factor in my decision.
Looking at European markets and your Bulgarian roots, where do you see the most exciting opportunities for growth in Europe?
The Balkans are a growing market. With many properties in the region available, the people have shifted from traditional retail to online. Their mindset and culture has also changed. Online betting is becoming more popular as people realize the convenience and ease it provides. Whether you’re at home, or with friends, you can instantly access sports betting platforms to be part of the betting process.
It is important not to lose sight of the other countries, and to keep a finger on the pulse, as new opportunities can appear at any moment.
For example, there has been much talk about the potential of the Balkans, in particular Romania, Serbia and Bulgaria. How would you rate these markets?
MI It is difficult to order them as each one presents unique challenges and opportunities with different audiences. Romania’s impressive growth has been accompanied by regulatory stability, which has led to a market that is very impressive. Serbia and Bulgaria continue to grow steadily, where we have the advantage of leveraging customer engagement habits through a variety gamification tools. Croatia is a market that’s still in its infancy, but it offers a great deal of opportunity. It’s also one of the richest, and this presents an abundance of opportunities.
MI The platform’s advanced technology sets it apart from its competitors and ensures excellence in all processes. Our B2B solutions are based on cutting edge trading tools and a team of experts. Risk management is another of our strong points, as we have outstanding capabilities that protect both operators and players. Sportsbook can be run automatically, with custom limits, margins and delay depending on the type of event. Fully automated CRM solutions allow operators to manage marketing and communication activities with customers seamlessly and efficiently.
We also want to invest in our retail business. Our retail system allows us to manage multiple properties from a central hub. Although our retail product has been a huge success in Latin America, we are not limited to that market. We also focus on Europe. Our impressive growth is a result of our company’s efforts to optimize the workflow. Our overall sportsbook is the best I’ve seen in the past five years.
