Armalytix is a leading UK fintech that specializes in source of funding and affordability checks. Today, it announced the appointment of Jeremy Lever to the position of Head of Gaming.
Lever, a compliance specialist within the iGaming sector, joins Experian from one of the UK’s largest credit reference bureaus, where he was a Senior iGaming Identification Specialist, focusing on customer income checks and identity checks.
After Buzz Bingo Group, UK’s largest bingo operator, appointed Armalytix as its fintech partner in July 2017, the seasoned gambling industry expert has been hired to spearhead Armalytix’s growth in this sector.
Lever gained extensive iGaming expertise at a number RegTech companies before joining Experian. He worked with some of the largest and fastest-growing operators in the industry, including William Hill and Paddy Power.
He developed significant expertise in the entire spectrum of customer compliance, from Know Your Client to monitoring customers and safer gambling measures like affordability checks.
Lever said: “I spoke to Kirsty Caledwell, William Hill’s former Head Compliance, who is now running BetSmart Consulting successfully, a few months ago. She told me with excitement about a new platform that she had just begun working with, which made a huge difference in the AML and protection of players space.
I had a discussion with the founders Richard McCall and Mike Ward, who showed me how Armalytix can help the gaming industry. “I’m very excited to start demonstrating Armalytix proprietary iGaming software to the industry.”
Richard McCall (CEO of Armalytix) stated: “Following our success in delivering financial risks checks for Buzz bingo, the demand for our affordability solutions has grown steadily as the industry prepares for greater regulation. I am therefore delighted to welcome Jeremy to our Gaming team to continue the excellent work they have done. He has a wealth experience in this sector, and I am confident that he will take us to new levels.”
Lever has also worked as an adviser to the Safer Online Gambling Group. The group was founded by David Bradford, a former online gambling addict, and Adam Bradford. In 2019, Entain (formerly GVC Holdings), backed this group to develop tools to help with problem gambling. Lever supported the group in its efforts to raise public awareness about online gambling addiction, and helped develop innovative mobile player protection initiatives based on the Bradford family’s experience.
Armalytix started working with Buzz Bingo in early this year to complete financial risk checks. Buzz Bingo’s adoption Armalytix platform led to a 2 1/2 times higher completion rate and 3 times faster speed of checks completed by their customers.
