We spoke with Ihor Zarechnyi – Head of Sales for Evoplay to learn more about their achievements, the latest news and the importance that the Central and Eastern European Region has for them.
Ihor, thanks for taking part in this interview with the #hipthers! Please tell us a bit about you and your role in Evoplay.
I am the Director of Sales for Evoplay. I am responsible for managing the company’s strategies in sales, forming key partnerships and expanding our presence on various markets around the world.
I have always been passionate about iGaming and its dynamism. The opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment is what I enjoy most about Evoplay. We are constantly pushing the limits to create engaging, unique gaming experiences that resonate across the globe. As Head of Sales, it’s an honor to be able to bring these products to a wider audience.
Evoplay has a huge portfolio of awards and partnerships. Could you provide a brief summary about the company?
Evoplay, a leader in the iGaming sector, is constantly pushing the limits of traditional game design to create unique, immersive and memorable experiences for players around the world. Our innovative approach is reflected by our portfolio, awards and strategic partnerships.
Our company was founded in 2017 and within a short time we have developed more than 200 slot, table and instant games which are played by players from multiple jurisdictions. We are known for our gaming content, which is not only unique because of the immersive graphics and captivating gameplay, but also because our Spinential System and other exciting mechanics have been introduced. We’re known, for example, for creating the first 3D/VR slots in the industry.
We have been recognized and celebrated for our continuous innovation in the gaming industry. This has led to us receiving the Innovator Award at the EGR, and the Mobile Gaming Provider Award at the Malta Gaming Awards.
Evoplay began a major rebranding effort in 2021. What was the inspiration behind this decision and how did it succeed, especially during the difficult time of the pandemic period?
We made the decision to rebrand in 2021 because we wanted to reflect Evoplay’s incredible growth and evolution since its inception in 2017. We were able to establish a solid foothold in the iGaming industry, had innovated with 3D/VR slot machines, and received significant awards. The time was right to redefine our brand to reflect our new status and ambitions.
We rebranded to make it clear that we are not another gaming company, but an innovative organization committed to changing perceptions of gambling products.
It was a pandemic that presented many challenges but also opportunities. Our products had a large audience because more and more people were turning to online entertainment. The perfect moment to launch a brand new and revitalised that represented innovation, entertainment, trust, was now.
Our authenticity and commitment, I think, was the secret of its success. Our team worked hard to make sure that the rebranding was not just cosmetic, but really representative of our vision and ethos.
Evoplay published a recent article about how to tap into the next generation market for crypto iGaming. How do you help your clients and customers to gamble in crypto and how does Evoplay work with crypto casinos?
Cryptocurrency’s rapid rise has undoubtedly made waves in many industries. Cryptocurrency offers many advantages, especially in iGaming where decentralisation and instant transfers are important.
It is easy to understand how crypto casinos and Evoplay interact. The crypto-based platforms have incorporated our popular and exciting games into their offering. We saw a 5.3x rise in bets made via cryptocurrency in 2023’s second quarter compared to that of the first. This alone demonstrates the increasing demand for our innovative games in the crypto gaming sector.
Our commitment to pushing the boundaries and responding flexibly to market trends make us an ideal crypto casino partner. We are excited to provide players with innovative and captivating gaming experiences in the crypto-space and we look forward to what the future holds for our partners and wider industry.
In looking back at Evoplay’s past achievements and current breakthroughs, what game titles, moments, and partnerships do you think are key milestones?
Dungeon: Immortal Evil, and Necromancer have both created a lot of buzz within the gaming industry. These games were among the first to show off our immersive technology, and they set a new standard in player engagement.
It has been a great honor for us to join forces with such industry giants as EveryMatrix SoftGamings Relax and Oryx. These alliances have helped us reach a wider audience and introduce our innovative games.
The growth of Evoplay and our company is perhaps the most significant milestone. Our company started out as a small team with a vision. Now we are a global name in iGaming and respected for our constant innovation.
Recently, your social media team posted the most popular slot characters! What is your favourite Evoplay game?
Each character is unique and has their own appeal. They all contribute to the immersive experience we are known for. If I had to choose, Star Guardians would be my choice. It’s our flagship game, and is really a standout due to its unique RPG inspired gameplay. This is not just a game of slots – this is an adventure! It’s not just a slot game – it’s an adventure!
