What is the size of your Romanian market?
We are now live in Romania, with six customers to date. More are on the way. Romania is a very important market for us because of the players’ demographic, which loves non-traditional content.
It was an important factor in helping us to secure agreements with more casinos on the Romanian market. Now we’re looking to grow the market by adding more casinos, and creating more slot machines with themes that resonate well with Romanian players.
We will continue to innovate and develop in non-traditional spaces.
How would you rate the performance of your game in Romania? How did you try to gain a foothold in the Romanian market?
Mines content is doing well in this market, which has led to the release of some branded content. Slot content will also be on the rise, but we are expecting even better performance from upcoming themes like Super Hot Stacks. These themes and game mechanics will appeal to Romanian players.
A client streamed several of our games, including Plinko. We believe that this is the first game in its kind on the Romanian market. We will continue to develop in non-traditional markets such as Romania.
Romania is a market that has been more important to us as a brand new player in the industry, with fewer games. However, there is still countless opportunities for growth.
When our Mines content was launched, a client broadcast a TV annonce.
What makes your games appealing to Romanian players? Has your game been tailored for the Romanian market?
We have seen good results with the Mines content, and a few slot titles have also performed well.
We are not yet large enough to create market-specific content. We are creating new content with themes that have historically resonated well among Romanian players. We also think that our Plinko game was the first on the Romanian market. So we are definitely innovating.
What do you think the Romanian gaming industry will look like in the future?
Since many years, Romania is a market that enjoys a traditional taste for games, which has migrated from land-based operators, thus the dominance by EGT.
In the past few years, we’ve seen that alternative game types and modern graphics have slowly gained more market share. I think that the next generation will be less familiar with traditional land-based games, and we’ll see a greater shift towards our style.
What are your future goals for the Romanian Market?
Our arcade games have been a great success and we have a lot of operators who want to work with you. This is because our partnerships with the key players on the market are so close.
We are now able to distribute our games to the majority of online players. We want our Romanian slot players to start to recognize and identify with us as a brand, just like we did with arcade games.
What role will Romanian markets play in the overall operation of Gaming Corps?
The Romanian market is highly regarded and many operators find the larger operators very valuable.
Our overall performance will be boosted by seeing our content promoted, and developing closer relationships with Romanian operators. This should increase demand for our games in this part of Europe.
