Australian Professional Leagues and IMG have renewed their exclusive partnership in international media, data, and streaming rights.
The contract will last for a number of years (not yet specified). The APL’s stated reasons were: “To continue driving audience and commercial growth for top-flight Isuzu UTE A-League Men football and Liberty A-League Women.”
IMG Arena, which will provide over 460 global sportsbook operators with official data for all matches, will also capture the media rights of APL internationally. This excludes Australia and New Zealand.
Nick Garcia, commissioner of the A-League, said: “This expansion and extension of this partnership is a testament to the growing opportunity in Australian and New Zealand Football right now. We look forward to working with IMG and utilizing their invaluable expertise, as well as expansive global network.
The A-League is the home of national team stars, international talents and the Matildas or Socceroos for the future. We have three women’s teams joining the Liberty A-League Women and two men’s in the Isuzu A-League Men. This means more football, goals, and stories to connect to for our fans.
Dale Levin said, “We’re proud to have built a strong partnership with APL, and we helped them achieve significant growth in the A-Leagues for the past six year.”
