ESL FACEIT Group, the world’s leading eSports company and provider of video game entertainment, and the International Basketball Federation announced today the 61 countries participating in the second edition of eFIBA. This is FIBA’s official NBA 2K24 Tournament. Starting on October 3, seven regional federations will compete in the pro am game mode for a chance to qualify for the first ever in-person eFIBA World Finals and a EUR50,000 prize fund.

Frank Leenders said, “After a successful first season and eFIBA’s participation in The Olympic Esports Series we are ready to make the upcoming eFIBA Season 2 a milestone international event.” “eFIBA enables us to reach new fans of basketball and create a global community that shares a passion for this game.”

eFIBA season 2 has more than doubled the number of participating federations, and expanded its competition calendar. The event will include online regional qualifiers between October 3 and November 2, and regional finals across South East Asia and Oceania as well as the Middle East, Africa and North America. The top two nations from Europe and the winning nation in each regional final will qualify for the eFIBA Season 2 World Finals in 2023. This event takes place at DreamHack Winter in Elmia in Jonkoping on November 25-26.

• EFG and FIBA have announced the 61 national federations that will be participating in Season 2 eFIBA. This is the international NBA 2K24 tournament.
• Season 2 of eFIBA will begin on October 3 and include six weeks of online qualifiers for regional finals. The regional winners are then eligible to compete in the first ever eFIBA World Finals in person, which is taking place in Elmia in Jonkoping, Sweden.
• South East Asia and Oceania will compete for the EUR50,000 prize fund and title of Regional Champion.
• eFIBA’s co-streaming will be new to Season 2. Content creators, streamers, and casters will collaborate to grow the eFIBA Community.

eFIBA co-streaming

eFIBA is actively working with the NBA2K Community this season through collaborations with creators from around the world as well as costreamers of eFIBA Events with a set of customizable resources, including unprecedented access gameplay feeds and overlays as well as opportunities to interview players. Community streamers can apply to receive exclusive access to the suite of streaming tools.

Starting October 3, regional qualifiers, regional finals and the eFIBA World Finals as well as eFIBA Season 2 will be streamed every Tuesday and Thursday on eFIBA and YouTube and FIBA.
