British Esports announced an historic partnership with Saudi Esports Federation. The Saudi Esports Federation is the regulatory body responsible for nurturing elite gaming athletes, and developing the gaming industry and community in Saudi Arabia. This marks a significant move towards the advancement of the global esports market.
This historic collaboration is signed as the UK Department for Business and Trade makes its first Esports Trade Mission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The mission aims to foster connections and explore opportunities within the Saudi Arabian Esports scene.
The agreement between the two esports associations formally commits them to work together in order to take esports into new levels. The partnership began with an exclusive reception hosted by UK Ambassador Neil Crompton in Riyadh. HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar bin Sultan was present, as well as Chester King, CEO of British Esports.
The key initiatives of the partnership will include a variety of projects, events, and activations that are designed to cultivate talent in esports. These initiatives will include immersive cultural exchange programs, internships and mentorships, bootcamps and esports-training programmes, educational initiatives, and collaborative research.
As part of the agreement, British Esports will host home and away games with some of top UK and Saudi Esports athletes competing at the National Esports Performance Campus Sunderland, and at Gamers8 in 2024.
This partnership highlights the commitment of the two federations in fostering international growth and cooperation within the esports sector and heralds a new exciting era for investment, development and opportunity.
