The International Casino Conference will take place on Monday 6 February. It serves as a curtain raiser to ICE London (7th-9th Feb). 150 industry thought leaders will provide invaluable insight and informed opinions covering emerging markets, gaming politics, regulation, entertainment spending, and gaming politics. Cynthia Kiser Murphey is the General Manager of Palms Casino Resort Las Vegas. Laurens Vosloo, CEO San Manuel Casino, will also be sharing their experiences in relation to opening the Palms Casino Resort by San Manuel Gaming & Hospitality Authority on April 20, 2022. This opening took place only 132 days after the license was granted.
The keynote presentation will take place at ICC Laurens Volsloo, Management Committee Member of San Manuel Gaming & Hospitality Authority, and Chief Executive Officer of San Manuel Band of Mission Indianssaid : ” Owning a Las Vegas casino resort was a long-term goal that was realised as part of Tribe’s diversification and investment strategy. The International Casino Conference will feature the story of San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, and how they became the first Native American tribe in Las Vegas to own and operate a casino resort.
He said, “The San Manuel Tribe is well-known for its generosity and contributions to building up communities. This is a way to show their appreciation for the kindness shown to them by others during their journey to self-reliance.
“The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians’ journey through history to become one of Southern California’s most prominent employers, and their historic acquisition of Palms was not without its challenges. The Tribe’s core values include providing for the community and creating jobs for 1,200 members of their team, half of which were former Palms team members.
Cynthia Kiser Murphey is the General Manager of Palms Casino Resort Las Vegas. She was struck by the logistical challenges that were involved in opening such a landmark venue. Her team opened Palms in four months. This included hiring and training 1,200 outstanding team members, sourcing strategic sourcing and supply chain problems, as well as dealing with the unknowns we faced when opening a casino resort in Las Vegas.
“We are grateful that so much of the original Palms team members have re-joined us at opening. Because of the magic they experience when working together, team members expressed their desire for a return. Palms thrives because of their energy and enthusiasm.
Palms has been a well-known hotel for its exceptional guest service since opening. Cynthia Kiser Murphey confirmed : “Our guests will find spectacular guestrooms and suites including ten unique themed suites, the Ghostbar ultra lounge with breath-taking views of the Las Vegas Strip, delicious dining options such as Vetri by Marc Vetri and Mabel’s BBQ prepared by Michael Symon.
