AppGallery, Huawei’s official distribution platform held the Huawei Game Salon (Europe) from 30 May until 1 June in Istanbul, Turkiye. The event was held to enhance collaboration between AppGallery, its partners, and enterprises in Europe.
Over the last decade, Huawei has built strong relationships on the European market. It bridges East and West while supporting local growth. Huawei has helped Chinese game developers reach a wider European audience and Turkish game developers increase their visibility in Europe.
The Huawei Game Salon presented Huawei Cloud as an innovative business solution that offers professional, fast and stable cloud services to gaming enterprises looking to create high-quality cloud gaming experiences.
Turkiye, a new gaming and live streaming hub
Huawei has intensified its focus on the European gaming scene, as it is predicted that Europe’s mobile games market will reach $8.56 billion by 2024. Turkiye is a key part of Huawei’s plan, as it boasts an increasing number of talented developers, and a large player base.
Turkiye, with its 30 million gamers leads the Middle East gaming market. The industry is expected to generate $300 million in 2023 and grow by 16% annually. The mobile gaming market in Turkey has a huge potential. With smartphones as the primary device that Europeans use to access games and 75% of Turkish citizens owning smartphones, the industry is expected to generate $300 million by 2023.
According to AppAnnie, in-app payments for pan-entertainment applications in Turkiye totaled US$76 million by 2023, propelling Turkiye into the top five globally. AppAnnie estimates that in-app payments in Turkiye for pan-entertainment apps will total US$76,000,000 in 2023. This will propel Turkiye to the top five countries in the world.
Huawei Gaming Salon Welcomes Valued Partners
The Huawei Gaming Salon welcomed leading Chinese developers, including Funplus, Tencent Moonton and miHoYo.

Shared sessions between CP-Gamers and local partners
A CP-Gamer Interactive Share offered Chinese developers a chance to learn from the experiences and success stories of Huawei’s European partner, game developers Playrix & Com2us. Playrix, Com2us and other game developers stressed the importance of adapting their games to Turkiye users during this exchange. A Local Partner Sharing session followed, adding new perspectives to the discussions.
Full-Day Activities at HUAWEI’s Cloud Data Center
The attendees were treated to an experience of Turkish Culture and the HUAWEI Cloud Data Center. The event ended with a Farewell Dinner.
Huawei’s partners including Tencent, Moonton and Funplus were very impressed. They expressed their excitement for future collaboration with Huawei, with plans to release their games in Europe during the second half 2024.
