Alexa Roseblade, the new chief of staff of the gambling support charity GamCare, will begin her position immediately.
Alexa’s new role will be to form part of the GamCare Leadership Team. She will work across the charity, championing its organisational goals and mission, and overseeing the annual governance program, operational delivery and working methods. Alexa will support the creation of strong partnerships and relationships that help GamCare to continue its work in supporting everyone affected by gambling harm.
Alexa assumes the role after four years of successfully managing GamCare’s Children and Young People’s Team. This included its dedicated Young People’s Service and Young People’s Gambling Harm Prevention Programme. Alexa has led the YPGHPP since April 2020. The programme is highly effective, working closely with regional support providers and delivering workshops for 133,000 young people, as well as 28,000 professionals. It also offers a variety of high-quality services, including participation, digital information, and support.
Alexa has held a number of roles at Cancer Research UK including the international operations, strategy, and philanthropic arms.
Tim Hodgetts will join GamCare in August 2024 as a Director of Clinical Operatives.

Alexa Roseblade is the Chief of Staff for GamCare. She said, “In my four-year tenure at GamCare, I’ve seen firsthand how our dedicated staff delivers vital support to those who are in need. Our Helpline and Treatment Services are not the only way we help. We also have many prevention and education programs that make a difference. I look forward to working with GamCare staff and Board in order to support the charity, as we enter into a new chapter of gambling support services for the UK.
