SBC announced the shortlists of the 11th edition SBC Awards 2020. The first ceremony will take place in Lisbon as part of SBC Summit.
The shortlist for this year highlights, once again the outstanding achievements by leading operators, suppliers, and affiliates across all verticals including payments, marketing and platform providers. The award ceremony will be held on the evening of Thursday, 26th of September at the MEO arena on the final day SBC Summit.
Betsson Group, SOFTSWISS are two notable nominees. Each received an impressive eight nominations. EveryMatrix, and OpenBet were close behind, each receiving six nominations. Campeon Gaming is also nominated in five categories, including BetConstruct Sportradar and Soft2Bet.
The 2023 edition of the awards in Barcelona was a huge success. This year, the award ceremony saw a record number of applications. It provided ample time for the independent panel of judges to decide on the 38 category shortlist.
FairPlay Sports Media, Kingbet Media and other affiliates are all nominated in the Affiliate category for awards such as Affiliate Product Innovation or Sports Affiliate of the year. Mr Gamble, Slotsjudge and Affiliate product innovation are also nominated. Better Collective is aiming to win the Sports affiliate of the year category for the third time in a row.
Betsson Group was nominated in six of ten Operator Awards categories, as it strives to defend its titles for the Marketing Campaign Award and the Innovation in Casino & Gaming Entertaining awards.
Betsson Group also competes against Kaizen Gaming, the current Casino Operator of the Year, for the award. Bet365 will compete for the Best Affiliate program and Sportsbook Operator of the Year Awards, while seven other operators will be competing for the newly-introduced Operator of the Year Large award.
The ceremony this year will introduce two new operator categories. In addition to the Operator of the year – Large, there will also be the operator of the year – Medium and operator of the years – Smallawards.
IDnow and Nuvei, in the categories of Payment & Compliance, will be returning to defend their titles of Fraud & Compliance Solution of the year and Payment Solution of the year, respectively. Monnet Payment Solutions is one of the brands competing for the prestigious Payment Innovation of the year award. OKTO, Pagsmile, and Pay4Fun will also be in the running.
The Supplier Awards will include 19 categories covering a variety of verticals such as casino/slots and esports. Categories also include mobile, land-based betting, live betting and marketing.
Amusnet is among the nominees for the prestigious award of Casino/Slots Developer. To better reflect the industry’s offerings, this year the award was expanded to include three new categories: Large Medium and small.
Digitain will compete with 14 other brands to win the Sportsbook Supplier of the year award, while OpenBet faces 15 competitors to defend its Platform Provider of the year title.
The awards will shine a spotlight on the future of this industry. There are four categories that have been created: Risen Star in Sports Betting, Risen Star in Casino Innovation/Software, and Newly Established Rising Star in Sports Betting .
LiveScore Group is one of the candidates for the Employer of The Year Award in the Operator & Supplier Awards. PIN-UP Global and Playson are also contenders. Entain Foundation U.S. is competing against 12industry giants for the Socially Responsive Initiative of the Yearaward.
