In Lviv, a new project funded by EveryMatrix to help veterans of the Ukraine war transition into new careers in technology was launched.

EveryMatrix spearheads the NGO “Academy for Heroes”. It was inspired by 300+ of its employees in Lviv, Ukraine. Some are currently fighting in war.

Ukraine has hundreds of thousands combatants, and the number is increasing every day. Many of these veterans, who may have suffered serious injuries in the war, need to adapt socially and find work that will provide them with a more secure future.

The Academy will offer courses created by experts in the IT sector, which will enable former military personnel gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in IT careers.

Its primary objective is to equip veterans with IT knowledge, but it also wants to help them integrate successfully into the labour market of today. After the veterans have completed their courses, EveryMatrix will work with several other local IT firms to help them find employment.

Ebbe Groes is the Group CEO and co-founder of EveryMatrix. He said, “Our Lviv Office is crucial to our success and growth.” Since the conflict began in Ukraine, we have provided much-needed funds to our friends, colleagues and charities. We will continue to do so.

“Now we are taking it one step further and setting up our second NGO company to ensure that veterans receive the skills and training they need to return back to work and develop successful career in technology.

The IT industry in Ukraine is one of its strongest sectors, and it’s a world leader for its technical expertise. I hope that many of them will join us, or move on to other IT companies. This will give them and their families hope for a better future. .”

Academy for Heroes CEO Professor Oleksiy Drudo said: “This project is unique in Ukraine because it’s the only one that continues to operate. It’s for veterans. We aim to educate four groups of veterans each year.

“Each group has its own specialisation, such as Project Management and Quality Assurance. Full stack is another area. We monitor the Ukrainian IT Market and train only the specialists required.

We also plan to open a specialised, inclusive-friendly training centre at the end of 2024. Our plan is to open an inclusive, specialised training centre by the end of 2024 .”

EveryMatrix is proud to announce the launch of its second NGO, which has been fully funded. TeachStream was established in 2015 by the iGaming Technology provider, supplying funds and resources that were much needed to disadvantaged Romanian children who would otherwise not have had the opportunity to develop IT skills, computer science, maths and English.
