Roland Boothby, the Head of Partnerships for GPI/The Hendon Mob provided further insight into the strategic partnership between SiGMA/The Hendon Mob. The Hendon Mob is a recognized industry standard when it comes to ranking poker players. Bootby, who is excited to be venturing into new territory for the SiGMA Tour, noted, “One area we haven’t entered yet in terms of live events realm is South America.” Brazil is the hottest poker market in the world. Brazilian players are also known to be fun to play against. The market is just beginning its journey, and SiGMA’s unique potential for connecting events and networking with the poker community.
“The Hendon Mob Championships 2025 will be held on 5 continents, and we are proud to join SiGMA to explore the Latam Market. The game of poker is in need of new players. SiGMA is already a leader in B2B and the Poker Tour launch will give them a chance to show their worth in B2C.”
The tour is designed to give the competitive poker world a new, global edge. It aims to attract high-stakes players of all backgrounds and abilities to tournaments held in major cities across the globe.
Eman Pulis spoke about the larger vision for the event. He explained how the Poker Tour compliments SiGMA’s mission to connect gaming industries worldwide. This is a venture with charity at its core.
“We set high standards for this mission. From the start, we have done this for charity. We have tried to combine the two, connecting charity outreach and our exhibitors. “We want to apply this formula to the B2C market,” explained he.
“We want poker to be elevated. Every poker player wants to have access to the SiGMA Platform. The combination of poker and business should pave way for a dynamite Tour,” said CEO of SiGMA Group Emily Micallef.
The SiGMA Poker Tour is aligned with the SiGMA Foundation in order to have a positive impact on the communities that it visits. A percentage of every side event buy-in will be donated for each stop on the main tour to support local SiGMA Foundation initiatives. This initiative enhances the tour’s commitment to responsible gambling, but also ensures each event leaves behind a positive legacy for the locality. It connects the excitement of playing poker with the spirit giving back.
The event concluded with a networking breakfast, which gave guests the chance to meet the speakers and find out more about the SiGMA Poker Tour.
