Spelinspektionen (the Swedish gambling inspectorate) has invited all stakeholders in gambling policy and industry leaders of Nordic gambling markets, to attend its “Live Seminar”, which will take place on March 21st.
This event will take place at the Stockholm Waterfront, from 10 am until 5 pm. It will offer the most complete analysis of the Nordic gambling market’s policies and other issues that impact regulatory affairs.
Spelinspektionen stated that the Inspectorate, together with other cooperating authorities, industry organizations, and other cooperating parties will offer a broad insight into the current issues related to Nordic gambling markets governance.
“Areas covered include: match-fixing, money laundering and illegal gambling. There will also be upcoming license reviews.
Keynote presentations will feature Spelinspektionen’s leadership team, who will present its first-hand analysis of the “Sweden gambling market four year after its reorganisation 2018.”
Anders Dorph (Director General of Spillemyndigheden), the Gambling Authority of Denmark, will outline the common goals and differences of Nordic gambling markets.
The Swedish trade bodies Branschforeningen for Onlinespel and SPER will highlight the industry perspectives of Nordic’s regulated or monopolised market sectors.
Folkhalsomyndigheten and CAN – Norway’s Public Health Agency and Central Association for Alcohol and Narcotics Information – will present policy insights on problem gambling addiction treatment and research.
The event will end with a panel discussion on cooperation dynamics required to combat match-fixing in Nordic sports. It will be led by Sweden’s Police Authority, Riksidrottsforbundet and Svenska Fotbollforbundet.
