Innovative Technology (ITL), a company that specializes in innovative technology, reported a successful showing at the Fira Gran Via’s inaugural ICE Barcelona last week. ITL supplies the land-based gambling industry with a variety of cash validation and recycling devices, as well as age verification technology. ICE, the largest annual gaming event in the world, moved to its new location for 2025 after many years of being held in the UK.
Marcus Tiedt commented that “ICE’s location was certainly a source of excitement this year. It was also great to catch-up with many of our European, international, and Spanish customers.” It was an excellent opportunity to involve the entire Spanish team as it is located not far from our Barcelona office. MyCheckr, for automated age checks, and the NV4000 Multi-Note Cash Recycler were the two stars for us at the show this year. Both attracted much interest from both operators and manufacturers. “The show cemented our NV22 Spectral’s (NV22S), popularity in the European gaming industry, particularly in Spain, where OEMs and operators chose this mixed note recycler as their preferred choice last year.”
Devices for Cash Validation and Recycling
Marcus explained ITL’s offering on both the cash handling side and the age & identification side of business. “The NV4000 Multi-Note Recycler with its upgraded capacity was shown at ICE for the first time and visitors were clearly impress, especially when used in redemption terminals. We can provide the gaming industry with a complete solution that includes both coins and notes. This will ensure maximum machine uptime, reduce refilling and collection costs and avoid coin starvation. Many of the customers that visited the booth already used our NV22S which is a popular mixed 40-note recycler. It can be retrofitted into any AWP machine, confirming the market success.”
Age Verification Technology
“It was clear at ICE there is a real industry desire to prevent underage gaming and our age-verification technology is easily available and affordable for everyone. MyCheckr is used to verify age at casino entrances, and ICU Lite allows for on-machine verification. In the future, the need to protect vulnerable gamers will be more important in the gaming industry. We look forward to working together to make sure the right safeguards are put in place.
