Flying Sheep Studios is a subsidiary to iCandy Interactive. This Australian-listed international games company is proud to announce that it is creating Star Life. It is a social massively multiplayer online game (MMO) that focuses on cooperation and community-driven experiences. The game will be a party- and event-driven experience that encourages socialising, as well as hosting events and concerts.
iCandy Interactive is a global company with other Asian video game studios (Singapore Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Indonesia). Flying Sheep Studios was its first major European investment.
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has committed to supporting Star Life’s development with generous funding of approximately EUR1.1 million (approximately US$1.2 million). Flying Sheep Studios is well-known for its expertise in HTML5 game development. They are now creating a web-based metaverse game.
High-Availability Meta
Star Life’s accessibility is one of its key features. It can be accessed from any browser on any device without the need for downloads, installations or other high-end technology.
With just one click, players can enter the Star Life metaverse from their desktop or mobile device via a web browser. Players can also create their own characters, shop, and participate in community events like concerts and exhibitions.
Star Life will also include optional blockchain-enabled objects, or NFTs. This will give players greater ownership and control over their virtual belongings. This allows for easy transfer and use on multiple platforms. Star Life is a free-to play game that will be available to all.
“We are grateful for the support and trust shown by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs & Climate Action in our project. This funding shows that the federal budget for videogames works as it should, encouraging the development of cutting-edge technical knowledge’made in Germany’, and creating and securing job opportunities,” Thomas Rossig, founder and managing director of Flying Sheep Studios, says.
