The STS Group, one of the most prominent bookmakers in Central Europe and the market leader for Poland, reported a consolidated revenue of PLN579 million in 2022 compared to PLN498 million a year ago. This is an increase of more than 16% year-over-year. The net profit attributable by the parent company to its shareholders was PLN169 million, compared to 131 millions in 2021. This is almost 29% more year-over-year. The adjusted EBITDA was also at PLN 273 millions last year. This is an increase of more than 26% over the 2021 result. The adj. The adj. It increased by 3 percentage points.
The STS Group’s Q4 2022 revenue was PLN 167 millions, 43% more than the previous year. From October 2022 to December 2022, the consolidated net profit attributable by shareholders to the parent company was PLN 58 millions. 290% more year over year. The adjusted EBITDA for Q4 2022 was PLN83 million. This is a 122% increase year-on-year.
“A very successful year is behind us. We generated the highest operating results ever recorded by the Group, which translated into highly satisfactory financial results. We will soon take a decision on the dividend payment. We will pay the shareholders 100% of the profits of STS Holding S.A. in accordance to the applicable policy. We will make two payments due to the Group’s structure,” Mateusz Juroszek (President of STS Holding’s Management Board) stated.
The current year’s focus is on efficiency. To increase profitability and fully utilize the market’s potential, we focus on Poland. We make savings and improve the product. Mateusz Juroszek stated that we expect turnover, NGR and EBITDA to be higher than last year.
The Group plans to increase its profitability in 2023 by planning various activities. The company has reorganised its operations to focus on Poland and close its licenses in Estonia and the UK. STS S.A.’s 2022 operating results show the market’s high appeal. To maximize the country’s development potential, the company plans to focus its activities.
The STS Group’s NGR was PLN 663 millions in 2022. This is a 17% increase year-over-year. The STS Group’s customers staked a total of PLN4.679 billion in value, which was compared to PLN4.492 billion the year before. In 2022, 783 thousand users were active and in 2021, 693 thousand. The Group had 439 thousand new registrations in 2022 (370 thousand in 2021), while 317 thousand customers made their first deposit in 2022 (249 thousand in 221). All operational data are at historic highs.
The Group’s Q4 2022 NGR was the highest ever on a quarterly basis. It reached PLN 200 millions, an increase of PLN 136,000 in the previous year. In Q4 2022, the value of stakes made by customers of STS Group was PLN 1.38billion, compared with PLN 1.218billion in the previous year. The number of customers who were active in Q4 2022 was 542 thousand, as compared to 386 000 in Q4 2021. In Q4 2022, there were 202,000 registrations, compared with 87,000 one year ago. The Q4 2021 number of customers who made their first deposit was 154 thousand, as compared to 60 000 a year ago.
