GamerFest returns to Dublin this May 27 the and 28 the. This is after last year’s hugely successful event which saw over 5,000 gamers in person.
GamerFest Weekend will celebrate all things gaming. It will include the latest gaming releases and VR gaming. There will also be challenges for gamers and special guests, including YouTube and Twitch creators. Ryan Mar, Mr Gibbon and Antitinkerbell are confirmed attendees. Stay tuned for more announcements about special guests. Club Loaded Energy, Energise Energy were confirmed as Official Drinks Partners. There will be multiple giveaways and competitions at the event.
Nativz Collegiate and GamerFest have teamed up to launch the first ever Collegiate Challenge. This will see Ireland’s best colleges compete on the GamerFest Esports Stage. In Rocket League and Valorant matches, teams from University College Dublin will face off against Technological University Dublin.
Online tournaments are also being held by GamerFest in Valorant, FIFA and other competitive games. These online tournament finalists will then be invited to compete in the Esports Stage, which takes place in May before a live audience.
GamerFest also announced a groundbreaking partnership with Williams Esports. GamerFest will feature five cutting-edge Williams Esports sim race rigs so that fans can test their racing skills. A Fastest Lap Challenge will be held throughout the weekend. Daire McCormack, Williams Esports Irish driver, will also be present to meet the crowd and talk about his sim racing career.
Zero Latency VR will return to GamerFest offering the most immersive VR gaming experience. This unique combination of technology, imagination and technology transports gamers into a world that is free-roam gaming. Sega Frontiers will be featured at the event, along with many other titles, according to organizers.
Both young and old visitors can enjoy a trip down the memory lane at Retro Zone, which features a variety of old-school games and consoles such as Mega Drive and Atari along with many classic retro arcade machines.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the amazing career and education opportunities in gaming through the newly launched Industry Zone. Aspiring professionals will receive guidance and advice from Black Shamrock Studio and Pulse College.
GamerFest was established in 2017 and has been a community-driven gaming event that caters to everyone who is passionate about gaming.
