Allwyn AG announced a partnership of three years with the Future Frames program, part the Karlovy Vary IFF (International Film Festival Karlovy Vary), which will give a young European director a chance to work alongside the best Hollywood directors.
Allwyn announced, in collaboration Future Frames will sponsor an annual scholarship for one director to spend a month in Los Angeles to learn from some of the best film professionals. The programme includes mentoring, shadowing, and training.
The Future Frames program has been helping European directors launch their careers into the film industry since 2015. Every year, ten directors who are on the cusp of success are invited to Karlovy Vary IFF. They can showcase their films and receive tailored mentoring and training. They also build relationships with established people in the film industry. Allwyn’s new partnership opens up the possibility to a global audience.
As part of this partnership, Allwyn will also introduce a ceremony at the festival to honor the work of each of the ten directors.
Karlovy Vary IFF was founded in 1946 and is one of Europe’s oldest film festivals. The festival will take place from 30th of June to 8th of July 2023.
