Entain plc has announced two new important committees.
The People & Governance Committee will be one of these.
- Examine the policies and practices of your employees and ensure that they are in line with the purpose, strategy, and values of your company.
- Assist in the appointment of the Board members and ensure that there are plans in place to effectively replace the Board, and the leadership team.
- Assure that the appropriate procedures for training and evaluating Directors are in place.
- Review the latest developments in corporate governance, including changes to law, regulations and business practices.
Stella David is the Chairperson of the new People & Governance Committee. The other members of the committee will be Chairman Barry Gibson, and Designated Workforce director Virginia McDowell. Entain noted that the responsibilities of Nomination Committee will be transferred to this committee.
Sustainability & Compliance Committee is the second new committee. This new committee, which was formerly known as the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee, will:
- Oversee the company’s Sustainability and Compliance Programme.
- Overseeing the management of the ongoing relationship with the company and its engagement of a broad range of stakeholders.
- Watch progress in relation to internal key performance indicators as well as external Sustainability and compliance index results.
Entain has announced that Stella David will be stepping down from the Sustainability & Compliance Committee, with immediate effect.
