International Game Technology PLC has announced that IGT Global Services Limited (IGT) has extended a contract with Westdeutsche Lotterie GmbH & Co. OHG. WestLotto will receive IGT’s powerful lottery central system, Aurora, as well as its related technologies. The contract extension will run until at least 2031.

WestLotto, Germany’s biggest lottery, with sales of over EUR1.7 billion, requires IGT’s Aurora system to deliver the sophistication, reliability, and innovation it needs. Aurora, IGT’s player-centric omnichannel lotteries solution, was created to drive innovation and profitability. It will also offer greater reliability for WestLotto’s high volume transactions. The platform is a flexible set of solutions that are designed to help manage, transform, and grow the Lottery business. The platform will offer intuitive and user-friendly tools, applications and reporting capabilities that will manage all WestLotto operations, including transaction processing, back-office operations and game management.
