The Finnish game Skabma-Snowfall is named Best Nordic Game of the year
Nordic Game announced the winners of its annual Nordic Game Awards which were held on 25 May during NG23 Spring – the annual games industry conferences in Malmo.
Skabma-Snowfall was the big winner of the night. The game is inspired by old Sami folktales and beliefs. This title also won the Best Art Award in addition to the main prize, Best Nordic Game for the Year.
Nordic Game, the only global conference focusing on the Nordic gaming industry, is now in its 15th edition. The Nordic Game Awards were once again a highlight of the conference. The finalists and the winners were once again selected by a jury consisting of peers in the industry from Denmark, Finland. Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
The Nordic Game Awards were hosted by PixelTV’s Thomas Bense, who is the voice of Agent 47 in the Hitman series. This dynamic duo entertained the audience live and announced the winners.

Metal Hellsinger is the winner of the Best Game design, as developed by The Outsiders in Sweden.
Best technology: Virtuoso developed by Really Interactive in Sweden
Metal Hellsinger by The Outsiders (Sweden) is the Best audio.
Time on Frog Island: The Best Fun for Everyone, developed by Half Past Yellow in Denmark
Raft: The Final Chapter by Redbeet Interactive. Sweden.
The jury also decided to make a special mention of the Danish game The Forest Quartet developed by Mads & Friends in Denmark.
