Allwyn, an international lottery operator with a large number of offices, has announced its partnership with the Peace Race, or Zavod Miru, a prestigious cycling tour for under 23s, which includes teams from over twenty countries and takes place in the Czech Republic.
Allwyn will provide its resources and international presence to help the tour expand internationally, accelerate its progress, and change more lives.
Peace Race is one of the most inclusive and prestigious tours in the world. It was founded in 1948 to help promote peace and cooperation in Central Europe after World War II, as well as ease Cold War tensions. In the aftermath of World War II and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, it is important to promote peace and cooperation in Europe.
The race is an international competition that focuses on the Under-23’s category. This allows the next generation to reach their potential. The race, which is part of the Nations Cup – the highest category for riders under the age of 23 – is an endurance test that takes place over four days on the Jeseniky Mountains.
Many participants in the Peace Race will go on to compete internationally at the highest levels of cycling. The event has seen Tour de France winner Tadej Pogacar, from Slovenia, and two-time world champion Julian Alaphilippe, from France, as well as recent Giro stage winners Filippo Zana, from Italy, take part. This year’s Peace Race will take place between June 8 and 11.

Leopold Konig is the Race Director for the Peace Race. He said: “Everyyear we see young, talented competitors racing here. They will soon find their place on the World Tour. The best riders from each national team are sent to the Peace Race. They often appear on the rosters or under the wings pro-continental teams. Everyone praises that the Jeseniky Mountains bring out the best in all riders. We can say without exaggeration that this race is comparable to races in the Pyrenees and the Alps.”
