Glisco Partners and Heart Beat have announced the close of a $12,4 million investment into the Spanish company GGTech entertainment. GGTech, a leader in gaming and esports, is one of the world’s leading organisers of competitions and events in esports. GGTech will consolidate their global presence in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. They will also accelerate their entry into the US gaming and esports market.

GGTech announced recently the acquisition of Nuel, a grassroots esports community and tournament organiser based in UK.

Video games reached over 3 billion players around the world and generated revenues of $192.7 Billion in 2021. This makes it the second biggest segment of entertainment worldwide. Statista’s latest research shows that esports will have a global audience in 2022 of 532 millions viewers, which includes both casual and enthusiast viewers. This represents an increase of over 60 million viewers compared to the previous year, making esports America’s second most popular sport after the NFL.
