The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario was awarded the North American Gaming Regulators Association Excellence in Gaming Regulation Award (NAGRA). This award is for the work that the commission has done in developing and implementing a regulatory framework for Ontario’s new, open and competitive Internet Gaming (iGaming), which launched in April 2022.

International Game Technology PLC has announced that its popular MegaJackpots and high-performing Powerbucks omnichannel games will be expanded in Canada through the online gaming site PlayAlberta.ca of the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis AGLC. The launch of IGT’s Powerbucks & MegaJackpots marks the first time in Canada that IGT games have been deployed coast to coast.
