Play’n GO’s Merlin’s Journey of Flame is the latest slot in their Merlin series.
The fifth installment of Play’n Go’s Merlinsaga, Merlin Journey of Flame, has been released. Journey of Flame is a prequel for Merlin & the Ice Queen Morgana and The Rise of Merlin. It follows a younger and more carefree Merlin who encounters a Dragon’s Egg while swimming in a swampy pond. Merlin is put to the test by fire when he casts a spell that breaks shells.
Merlin’s Journey of Flamemay remind fans of Rich Wilde, and the Book of Dead (2016) as it uses Expanding Symbols to enhance gameplay.
You’ll need to land three or more Coloured Runes in order to win. Merlin is a High-Paying Symbol, while the Dragon Egg becomes a Wild symbol and the cracked version of the Dragon Egg is the Scatter.
A Special Expanding symbol is selected at random before the Free Spins begin. This expands when a winning combo is formed. Two or more reels will be required if the symbol is a high-paying one like Merlin, his Staff, Potion, or Spellbook. However, if it is a low paying coloured Rune, three or more are required.
Merlin can activate up to 8 Free Spins if he manages to collect three or more Hatched Dragon Egg Scatters. This will give players the chance to win more with their magic wands.
Merlin is also capable of casting a powerful but risky Gamble spell. Merlin can activate this ability if the winnings are less than 2500 coins. Merlin can double his prize if he correctly guesses the color during a mini game using the Gamble spell. Merlin must be careful, however, as his Gamble spell is only able to be cast up to five times consecutively, or summon 2500 coins. Players will need think carefully about their decisions.
