Crunchyroll is the global leader when it comes to bringing the ultimate experience of anime to fans across 200 countries. They are excited to announce the plans for the record-breaking Evolution Championship Series in Las Vegas, which will take place from August 4 to 6. Crunchyroll and Evo have teamed up to offer a gaming-specific experience that will immerse attendees in the world of anime, esports and hit series. This includes DJ performances, games and special guest appearances. Crunchyroll will be bringing Street FighterTM Duel, the recently released game. In select territories, the game lets players enter the ring and collect, level-up, and battle with more than 40 fighters they love from the Street FighterTM franchise.

Evo, which is the world’s largest and longest-running tournament for fighting games, has broken records this year with an 81% rise in competitors compared to 2022. Street Fighter 6 broke the record for Evo registrations with 7,061 participants, beating out 5,052 competitors who competed in Street Fighter V’s debut in 2016. Guilty Gear – Strive, MELTY BLOODS: TYPE LUMINA, and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – Evo 2023’s first Throwback Tournament title – also set all-time franchise records. Evo 2023 has welcomed more than 20,000 spectators and competitors to its Arena Finals and tournament convention so far. This is a 33% rise from last year.

The finals will take place in the Michelob ULTRA Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on August 4-6. All seats have been sold. Doors open at 8:30 am on August 4-5, and at 9 am on Aug.6.
