Flutter Entertainment has asked startups participating in its partnership program Alpha Hub to find solutions for responsible gambling and community involvement.
Alpha Hub is an international virtual community that brings together startups, academics and investors with innovative technologies and ideas to positively impact the gaming and betting industry.
Flutter offers two programs – Flutter & RGC : Play Well Challenge and Flutter Tech4Good Awards – that support the company’s Positive Impact Plan to achieve global sustainability targets for responsible gambling by 2030.
The Tech4Good Award highlights how technology can be used to help address social issues. This is especially true for those solutions that are able to meet the needs and challenges of disadvantaged groups. They also have to demonstrate a plan of scale-up, as well as the ability to measure their impact.
The Play Well Challenge, in partnership with the Responsible Gaming Council, located in Canada, uses insights from research, systems and technologies to create a more secure gambling environment for the players.
Flutter Entertainment’s Positive Impact Plan includes global sustainability goals such as:
- Sport, play and the skills of colleagues will have a positive effect on communities by 2030 and improve the lives of 10,000,000 people.
- By 2030, 75% of online active customers will be using responsible gambling tools.
The Flutter Tech4Good award and Play Well Challenge are aligned with our technology expertise, which is in line with our ambitious Positive Impact Plan. Conor Lynch said that as part of the initiative, Flutter Entertainment will use its global reach and internal talent to support innovative startups who are developing technology to enhance consumer protection and drive positive change in communities where it operates.
