IMG Arena has acquired the worldwide streaming rights to bet on Norwegian football’s top 2 divisions, Eliteserien, and OBOS Ligaen.
The multi-year agreement with Norwegian football includes 485 matches in the two leagues. Fixtures are often played on Sunday evenings. This will increase IMG ARENA’s global football offering and boost its week-end and year-round offerings.
The competitions have 16 teams. The Eliteserien is a possible route to the prestigious UEFA Champions League. The current champions of the competition are Molde FK, five-time winner, and Rosenborg BK, who have 26 titles.
Mark Wrigley is Senior Director of Rights at IMG Arena. He said that the deal with Norwegian football will strengthen IMG ARENA’s football offering by adding another top-class property. This will allow sports betting operators to increase their engagement with players throughout each year and also provide new touch points during the week.
Knut Kristvang is Fotball Media’s CEO. He said, “We are thrilled to have reached this agreement with IMG ARENA. This long-term partnership will allow us to grow the profile and reach new audiences worldwide.
