After another year of success, we talked to Javier Sacristan Franco (International Business Director at R. Franco Digital) about the innovative Pick & Shoot game, gamification, the most memorable moments in 2023, and what lies ahead for the Spanish leader.
Pick & Shoot is a new release that brings a completely different experience to iGaming. What made you release this title? And what do you believe will be the most appealing elements of the game to players.
Pick & Shot is a departure from the traditional slot gameboard. It offers a unique experience to players. These games are more risky, but can be very rewarding if they succeed. The process of developing and creating dynamic titles has always been positive for our technical team, as it fosters a culture that encourages creativity and innovative thinking.
Pick & Shoot combines roulette-like mechanics with exciting multiplier value, creating a game that is both strategic and engaging. The game is played in three stages: selecting the bet, choosing the multiplier and then picking the Attack Boxes. Pick & Shoot gives players a feeling of control and ownership over their gameplay. It brings next-level engagement into the iGaming world.
As gamification becomes more prominent in casino content in 2024, what are the new trends and features to look out for?
Gamification is becoming more prevalent in iGaming and other industries. It’s a powerful tool which provides tangible rewards and has a positive effect on acquisition, loyalty. a feeling of belonging. progression and retention.
In our latest release Pick & Shoot we have highlighted the use of skill based elements that mirror a videogame experience. This is a trend you should watch for in the future. We believe that there is immense potential for improving the player’s experience as we explore this concept. This will be demonstrated in our 2024 roadmap, which will also demonstrate the innovative approach we have taken to in-game gaming.
What is the response of younger generations to iGaming? How can suppliers ensure that they are able to capture this untapped demographic and maintain continuity?
Currently, there is a large amount of content being produced for younger generations. This may seem excessive, but its success will be determined by the quality of the experiences we provide.
We have conducted extensive market research to understand the preferences of players both within and outside the online casino world. In addition, we have had extensive discussions with psychologists to better understand younger generations’ mindsets. This allows us to create content that is tailored for players, and that leaves lasting impressions beyond engagement metrics.
What innovative releases can we expect from R. Franco Digital this year?
The R. Franco Digital Game Team is always putting aside resources and time to create experiences that are both exciting and disruptive. We’ve released a number of games this year that are different from the norm. As an example, our recent Tacoweeenfeatures a number of in-game modifiables that go beyond the usual Free Spins route. Instead of allowing players to choose food from a feast or trail across a map during one bonus round, the game offers a variety of in-game modifications. The game has been a big hit.
We’ll continue this trend into 2024 with a variety of games that will appeal to both traditional slot game fans and more adventurous players. These games will showcase our team’s unconventional approach towards the iGaming industry. We can’t reveal too much just yet but keep an eye on this space because we have many surprises for our players and partner!
Looking back on 2018, what were the most memorable moments for R. Franco Digital? How has this affected your strategy for 2024?
The year before was one of great momentum. We have set a record by launching four platforms in three new regulated market segments within a month. Our IRIS 4.0 platform continues to grow, and 2023 will be a year where we can cement our position as a leader in management systems and software.
We have also expanded into several other key regulated markets, including our tie-up recently with Solverde.pt. Portugal is one of Europe’s most promising markets, and R. Franco Digital continues to focus on this area. We will use the partnership with one of Europe’s most prominent operators as a way to expand our geographical reach. We are preparing for an exciting year, full of continued commercial growth, and games that will drive the industry forward, with the integration new technologies into our development process.
