Spotlight Sports Group, a leading technology, content and media company specializing in sports betting has announced the release Greyhound Smart View Racecards. This is a new addition to SSG’s Smart View Portfolio. The Racing Post, a leading racing media and technology supplier in the industry, is the company that powers the racecards.
Greyhound Smart View Racecards were designed in a similar way to the Horseracing Smart View Racecards released in 2023. They simplify Greyhound betting. The racecards are based on popular video games like Fifa or Football Manager and feature an intuitive visual design. This eliminates the complexity of traditional racecards.
Greyhound Smart View racecards are similar to their horseracing counterparts, boasting eight key attributes: ability, early pace (speed), profitability, recent form (form of the trainer), trap record, distance form, and course form. The eight attributes are combined to create a Smart View Score ranging from 0-100. This provides a comprehensive overview of the race for potential bettors.
Entain’s Digital Hubs across the UK, which total 160 locations, recently integrated Greyhound Smart View Racecards. This marks a major milestone in their accessibility.
Shaun Griffin, Entain’s Retail Digitalisation Leader, expressed excitement about the collaboration. He stated: “We are delighted to have worked with Racing Post on designing and launching the Greyhound form for all of our Digital hubs.” The new layout will make it easier for customers to understand the complex form lines, which is a great way to attract new fans. It also complements our existing Horseracing version in stores that has been available for over a year.
Spotlight Sports Group Retail Director Alan Pepperell expressed his excitement over the innovative racecards. “We are delighted to release our Greyhound Smart View Racecards and immediately implement them into Entain Digital Hubs. Greyhounds Smart View was a collaborative effort between SSG and Entain. “We have seen tremendous success with our Horseracing Smart View Racecards and I anticipate the same for the Greyhound racecards.”
