Betsson, Europe’s largest online casino, has announced it is now a member of the United Nations Global Compact initiative. This voluntary leadership platform promotes responsible business practices through the development, implementation, and disclosure.
Betsson has also committed to implementing the ten principles in the Global Compact into all of its strategies and operations. This includes human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
The UN Global Compact, the largest corporate citizenship initiative in the world, has thousands of participants from business and other stakeholders from civil, labour, and government in more than 160 countries. The UN Global Compact encourages companies to incorporate the ten principles into their operations and policies, as well to undertake projects that advance the wider development goals of United Nations, especially the Sustainable Development Goals.
These Ten Principles are derived from international frameworks like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Rio Declaration on Environment and Development. They provide guidelines to businesses for operating in a responsible and socially responsible manner. These principles have been part of Betsson’s Code of Conduct since its inception. Now, Betsson is officially participating in UN Global Compact. Betsson has been integrating the principles into its policies, procedures and practices, and is thus upholding its fundamental responsibilities to the planet and people. It also sets the stage for long-term success.

He also said that they are committed to contributing to the global effort for a more inclusive, sustainable world.
Betsson, as a Global Compact participant, is committed to a continuous improvement path in the implementation of these principles. It will engage in dialogues and learn from others and take concrete actions to support this effort. Betsson must submit an annual Communication on Progress as part of the Global Compact. This will provide details about the company’s progress in implementing the principles and show the social impact of its actions.
