Esports athletes are at the top of their game and they deserve the same care and attention as traditional athletes. Abu Dhabi was chosen as the headquarters location because of the support and opportunities that this vibrant city offers. Access Abu Dhabi was instrumental in our initial visit to the region. Abu Dhabi’s strategic position, world-class facilities, and unwavering commitment in the gaming sector made it an ideal choice for KALM.
KALM has developed a model of development centered on athletes through education, branding and commercialisation, with a focus on protecting, managing, and leveraging the athlete brand. The company’s global headquarters will work with the government, private sector, teams, federations and other key stakeholders in order to develop, implement and drive its athlete health strategy.
Dr Melita, a sports medicine expert, is now Vice President of the Global Esports Federation. She has been a team physician in NBA and WNBA for many years.
