Gaming Laboratories International has appointed David Elmore Head of Commercial Services for North American Casinos. This is Elmore’s second tenure with GLI. Elmore was previously the Division Head of Global Sales and Development at GLI’s Kobetron Division, where he held that position for 14 years. After serving as Vice President Sales for Gaming Innovation Group, he returns to GLI.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission announced the creation of a Voluntaryself-Exclusion (VSE), list specifically for sports betting. More than 1700 individuals have signed up for a VSE program for casino gaming since the opening of Massachusetts’ first casino in 2015. Today, there are 1329 people enrolled. VSE programs are intended to give those who wish to regain control of their gambling access a way to limit their access for a set amount of time. Individuals will be able to exclude themselves from gambling venues, digital and retail sportsbooks, as well as both types of gambling, with the introduction of sports betting.
Sportradar Group AG has announced that the Massachusetts Gaming Commission granted Sportradar Solutions, an American betting subsidiary, a Temporary Sports Wagering Vendor License. Sportradar has 44 licenses or equivalents in North America. It provides services to clients across the US, Canada and territories.
Genius Sports Limited is the official data, technology, and commercial partner for the ecosystem that connects sports, betting, and media. It has been temporarily licensed by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to be a licensed vendor of sports wagering. Temporary authority certificates are valid for 12 months, pending final authorisation.
Partnerships
MGM Resorts International has announced a multiyear agreement to be a strategic and hospitality partner to the National Football League Players Association. The agreement will allow the two parties to collaborate on new content and fan experiences that feature current and former NFL players. MGM Resorts properties will be the venue for various NFL-related events.
codere has formed a partnership with Club Atletico Lanus. The football team plays in Argentina’s premier divisions, Primera Division & Liga Nacional de Basquet. The deal will see the Codere-Bingo Lanus brand featured on players’ jerseys under their squad numbers until 2023. This agreement is a continuation of Codere’s long relationship with Club Atletico Lanus. The operator was the team’s official sponsor from 1999 to 2016.
Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, a newly promoted Brazilian Serie A team, has signed a sponsorship agreement with Betfair, based in the UK. The agreement includes the inclusion of the logo of Betfair on the shirt’s chest. This shirt is now back in Serie A of Brazil’s Championship following a three-year hiatus. The agreement includes the men’s team as well as a space to promote brand awareness for the women’s kit – at the top, on the back.
