Media professional Evans joins London agency as Head of B2B, including the opening of a new Manchester office
Press Box PR’s B2B division in the betting and gaming sector has been bolstered by the appointment of Jake Evans, who will be the new head of B2B.
Evans, a journalist with experience in the betting and gaming industries, joins Press Box PR after NEXT.io where he was Managing Editor, overseeing the creation of the leading online news service for the company.
He was previously the News Editor at EGR, and worked as a Data Editor for Stats Perform.
Evans, a London-based PR agency, will open its first office in Manchester.
Evans’ new role will see him working with clients, publications, and events in order to create industry-specific expert content. This, in turn, will drive commercial growth for everyone.
Alex Donohue launched Press Box PR in early 2020. Since then, the company has grown rapidly, with its headcount increasing from 20 to over 40 in just one year.
Its impressive B2B client list includes the QiH Group affiliate, Poppleston Allen law firm and technology companies Pythia Sport and 20SHOTS.
Evans will join the B2B Team, which includes Account Director Charlotte Kerr, Account Manager Sarah Williams as well as Director and Head Sport Jack Mansell. She will also work with Head Consumer Katie Storey, and Head Talent Lynn Caratt.
Alex Donohue is the founder and managing director of Press Box PR. He said, “Press Box PR’s growth was driven by the best journalists thriving in PR roles, underpinned by an unrivaled editorial and sector insight.” The fact that Jake is a talent of this caliber shows the potential of B2B marketing and PR. I am looking forward to working with Jake to usher in a new phase of growth by creating better content for media and our client partners.
The United Kingdom is a hub of talent with many publishers and companies operating globally. Our commitment to investing in this growing industry is reflected by our decision to expand our footprint from our London base to Manchester.
Evans stated, “I am looking forward to sharing my experience with Press Box PR in the areas of editorial, video production and content creation. I’m also excited to bring this to their growing list media and commercial partners.” Its USP, which is a journalistic approach to PR and marketing combined with editorial expertise and industry insights, really appealed me. I look forward to working with current team members and partners to expand the B2B Division.”
