InterContinental Malta is hosting the much-anticipated CasinoBeats Summit from May 21st through 23rd 2024. The event, which is expected to attract 4,500 delegates, will be the center of all things casino. It will feature insightful discussions on innovations and provide a first-hand look at some of the hottest casino products.
The keynote address of John Romero is a highlight. He’s the renowned game designer and programmer behind such classics as ‘Doom’, ‘Wolfenstein 3D’, and ‘Quake.
Over 150 experts will be presenting the educational component, which will give in-depth insight into the various aspects of gaming, from live casino experiences and slot games to alternative game types. A special focus will be placed on areas like game design, mechanics and creativity. Stages will also cover topics such as advancements in industry, leadership, marketing, and affiliate.
SEO will also be the focus of multiple sessions. Ivana Flynn is the SEO Director for Betinia and Campobet and she will host a three-part SEO Chatshow. These sessions will examine the intersection between SEO and AI, as well as the latest Google updates.
A workshop will be led by International SEO consultant Aleyda Solis to address the challenges that the audience faces in the SEO world. A second workshop will be devoted to grey hat SEO. SEO will also be the focus of a hackathon, led by Batuhan Sasi and Hector Izurrategui from 888/William Hill. They will show how tools such as ChatGPT can improve the efficiency of SEO experts, and provide a practical overview.
This year, workshops and hackathons are key features. They offer a more intimate and practical setting for learning about different topics. The workshops will include topics such as building successful VIP programs, led by Gali Hartuv, CEO of WarriorLab, ESG, with Floris Assies, CEO of Better World Casinos, and harnessing HR Technology for strategic excellence. Hackathon-style sessions are also an opportunity to interact with regulators such as representatives from Curacao or the UKGC.
Over 50 exhibitors are expected to create a dynamic atmosphere with product displays. The show floor is also home to various networking events, such as the Women in Gaming Breakfast or IMGL Meet-ups. A slot tournament will be led by casino streamers who are testing the new games from the studios launching their games at this event. There will also be a women-only poker tournament.
The poker tournament is one of many activities that are specifically designed for women who work in the gaming industry. Women can expect to attend a range of sessions including yoga and mediation classes for stress reduction, empowerment and leadership workshop, and sessions in which industry leaders will share their real-life experience of working with women.

The networking events are held in a relaxed atmosphere and allow attendees to network. The CasinoBeats Opening Party will be held at SKYBEACH, on Tuesday 21st May. The Official Networking Party will take place at Infinity by Hugo’s, on Wednesday 22nd May. And the Official Closing Party is at Sky Club, on Thursday 23rd May.
The Game Developer Awards are another evening networking event that takes place at Hilton on the 23rd May. (A separate ticket is needed). On Wednesday, May 22nd, there will be an invite-only VIP dinner for C-level SBC leaders at Caviar & Bull, and for Affiliate Leadership at Sole by Tarragon.
