MTN SHIFT Gaming experience is returning with another thrilling display of gaming prowess. It is now in its second season and the biggest national mall-based game tournament in the country. This event is a groundbreaking one that will include a series eight qualifying events at Hyprop Malls throughout the country over the next four month, culminating with an epic National Final at Canal Walk Cape Town in September.

Christie Stanbridge of Hyprop’s Campaigns and Brand Marketing Manager said, “The goal is to make esports more accessible for everyone. We want to remove the stigma associated with gaming being only for certain age groups. We want to make sure that people of all ages and backgrounds can play games together and take part in the exciting world of esports.

What are the best games for gamers of any age and ability level?

The second MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience is a sequel to the first, which was incredibly popular among gamers. It also appealed to all age groups due to its selection of EA FC 24,(tm), as the title that would be used throughout the main events. The tournament will be exciting and offer a gaming environment that appeals across a broad age range. There is something for everyone – from casual players to experienced pros – with the additional competitions and activities taking place at each event.

Prepare yourself for the ultimate showdown. Our online and centre heats will test your skills and determine if you have what it takes for the National Final. The online heat, which is fought on the ACGL platform and gives you the chance to win glory and earn a spot in the Mall Finals.

Sign up for one of seven heats at Hyprop Malls from Friday through Sunday. The top four players in each heat will advance to the Mall Final along with the four online qualifiers.

This year, a number of mall heats are dedicated to scholars to ensure our esport schools will be represented. Check out the mall’s website to get all the information.

The Hyprop Malls participating in the event will host a wide range of competitions, including the MTN Shift Gaming Experience efootball competition, as well as smaller competitions, and other activities. Both participants and spectators can enjoy the dynamic gaming environment.

National Final in Cape Town:

Canal Walk will host the grand finale, which includes all of the excitement from the Mall Events as well as additional high-stakes contests. Eight finalists will be selected from each mall to compete for the ultimate prize and a portion of the R50,000 prize fund.

MTN Battle+ – Win! MTN is hosting a Beat Saber contest with Xbox Series S consoles for prizes.
