SuperGaming India’s largest game developer, concluded the nationwide grassroots esports competition Indus Inferno in a huge success. The final of the tournament attracted aspiring esports players from all over India to take part in this epic battle. The event was attended by scouts from over 10 leading esports organizations. This resulted in two roster signings as well as ongoing discussions with the other teams.
The team MOGGERS won the competition, claiming a grand prize of Rs. The prize is Rs. 2,50,000, and the trophy. The runners-up DGE, (Destruction Of Game), received Rs. Insane Esports, Marcos Gaming and Marcos Gaming each took home Rs. Insane Esports and Marcos Gaming, on the other hand, walked away with Rs. 50,000 respectively. Igor, from Team MOGGERS, was named MVP (Most Valuable Players) in the finals. He won Rs. They were awarded Rs. 25,000 in recognition of their outstanding performance.
Roby John, CEO and co-founder of SuperGaming, says: “The level of engagement and excitement we saw during the Indus Inferno Finale were truly rewarding.” The tournament demonstrated a strong demand for an Indian-made, top-tier battle royale. “We are delighted to have given aspiring esports players a stage to show off their talent. This is only the beginning of our journey towards building a sustainable ecosystem for esports in India”, said he.
In the final, 15 teams competed for victory. Four teams were invited exclusively, ten teams qualified through intense, open qualifiers and one team was selected via Android qualifiers. Platform breakdown showed that 70% of participants were using Android devices, compared with 30% who used iOS. The tournament drew players from across India, with 21% hailing from Maharashtra. Telangana was second at 12% and West Bengal came in at 10%.
Indus Inferno was also a platform for aspiring esports fans to show off their skills in front of some of India’s leading esports organizations, including representatives from Godlike Esports. Marcos Gaming, TWOB and others have completed their Indus rosters. The event was a great success, with a lot of engagement from the community. This allowed players to give feedback in real time with developers. SuperGaming has always put the player first, and this is what makes it successful.
