Skyesports has announced the venue of the $300,000 Counter-Strike 2 tournament, the Skyesports Championships 2024. The 12-team event will take place at Taj Landsend in Mumbai, India, from July 23-28.
Shiva Nandy (Founder and CEO Skyesports) commented on the tournament: “We are delighted to welcome international teams to India to the $300,000 Skyesports Championship. This event at the Taj Landsend in Mumbai is one of the most important ones on our roadmap for Counter-Strike 2024 esports. This tournament is an important milestone in our long-term game plans as we work to position Skyesports IPs towards new audiences. We are bringing international teams into India to play our IPs, and setting up a platform for India to become a global hub of esports. “This is a pivotal time in India’s esports history.”
The Skyesports Championship is divided into two phases: the Group Stage, and the Playoffs. The Group Stage takes place between July 23 and 25, with 12 teams divided into two groups each of six teams. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs. Each group will compete using a round-robin format. The groups will use a semi-LAN format, where teams will compete from remote bootcamps set up at Taj Landsend.
The Skyesports Championship 2024 Playoffs move to the Taj Lands End’s main stage, where six teams will compete in a single elimination bracket for the title as champions on the 27th and 28th of July. Skyesports Championship will also include a number of surprises for the fans.

Aurora Esports are the Serbian champions from the previous Skyesports international events, including the $350,000 Skyesports Masters in 2024, and the Skyesports Grand Slam in 2024, both held at Pune, India. They will be returning to Serbia, this time to take the throne. The Mongolz from Mongolia, Eternal Fire of Turkey, and ENCE, Bleed Esports and Revenant Esports are also joining them.
In addition, there were open qualifiers in Europe and India, which gave two direct slots to the Skyesports Championship 2024 main event. True Rippers, representing India, will compete in the main event. 3DMAX has secured the European qualification.
Skyesports YouTube channel and Twitch can be used to watch all of the action. The tournament will be broadcasted live in multiple languages including English, Hindi Russian, Portuguese, and Mongolian. This is a testament to how global the Skyesports Championship IP is.
Skyesports Championship has been India’s most popular esports IP for the longest time. The tournament began in 2018 as a South India regional competition. It has grown exponentially year over year to become the biggest esports event in 2024.
