Red Bull Golden Letters is the grassroots TEKKEN tournament that returns to London’s Red Bull Gaming Sphere on September 28th and 29th for a weekend of action. Four aspiring professional players from all over the world will be playing the latest installment of the popular fighting game franchise for the very first time. They’ll compete against 16 of world’s top TEKKEN talents in an action-packed weekend on September 28th and 29th.
Kane Heartfield, Atif “Atif”, Ijaz and Richie “Ayorichie”, Olusanya, the first Red Bull Golden Letters recipient, complete the stellar lineup of pro players.
Red Bull Golden Letters, over two days of electrifying action, will give a new twist to the traditional TEKKEN competition format. Instead of the usual competitive format, the event will feature impressive matches and memorable moments. This unique format will test the fighting game core skills of being clutch and perfect under pressure, in a race from one to three. The iconic “Golden Letters” of TEKKEN, “PERFECT”, or “GREAT”, reward players with automatic wins. This encourages them to take risks for greater rewards.

Red Bull Golden Letters returns for its third edition, bringing together the world’s top TEKKEN8 players to compete in a truly exclusive invitational. Four additional professional players are guaranteed spots after brand-new, expanded global open qualifying rounds. They will compete against 16 top-class professionals in September 2024.
This year, a new 20-player group stage will be introduced. Players will compete on the first day for a place in the 12-player bracket elimination on the second day. The Red Bull Gaming Sphere, which will transform into a golden vault over the course of the weekend, will lock players up until a victorious winner is determined.
16 TEKKEN Legends are ready to test these aspiring professionals, including Red Bull Player Arslan Siddique (five-time EVO Champion) and Red Bull Player Hoa Luu (“Anakin”) Other global professionals, such as South Korean stars Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon and Kim “JDCR”, Hyun-jin, and Jaehyun “CherryBerryMango”, will also be joining this line-up of talent.
Richie “Ayorichie”, the inaugural Red Bull Golden Letters winner, returns for a third year to compete alongside Hasan “JoKa”, the British TEKKEN professional.
Jamil “Jammerz”, who is hosting this year’s Red Bull Golden Letters, will lead the broadcast from the Red Bull Gaming Sphere. Steven “Tasty Steve”, Reepal “RIP”, Parbhoo and Kobi “KWiss” Scarlett will also be providing live commentary and insight across the tournament.
Format & Schedule
- The first of four group stages will begin at 11:15 AM GMT on Saturday 28th September. The top two players in each group will advance directly to the winners bracket on day two, while the third placed players will fight for their place in the losers bracket.
- Sunday 29th September, The Finals will begin at 10:30 AM in a double elimination format with high stakes. The top eight winners of day one will battle to maintain their place in the winner’s bracket. Meanwhile, the four losers will have to fight their way back to earn a position in the Grand Finals.
