The Ringier Sports Media Group has launched sportal.gr. This digital platform offers sports fans in Greece video-first based information, commentary, analysis and interviews. It also provides live results in a state of the art product experience.
Sportal.gr’s content will be more than just football and basketball. It will also include tennis, volleyball and motorsports. The digital platform is built on the technical solutions and strategic expertise of RSMG. Since its incorporation in May 2022, Sportal Media Group in Bulgaria has sportal.bg, sportal.rs and Gazeta Sporturile (GSP.ro in Romania), sportal.hu and sportal.rs. In addition to a strategic partnership and the internationally renowned LiveScore Group, the digital platform also includes sportal.rs and sportal.rs. Mid-term, the RSMG’s goal is to make sportal.gr a major media player on the Greek sports market.
Sportal.gr is a content management system that uses Sportal365, which is internationally recognized. It will be adapted to provide a user-friendly design and experience similar to GSP.ro and sportal.rs.

Christos Christou, the former General Manager at the Greek sports platform Sportdog will take the ambitious project to the next level as Managing Director of Sportal.gr. He will be working with a team of 25 young journalists and well-respected editorial leaders to position sportal.gr in the top tier Greek sports media market.
