The FBM Foundation’s “Treats for Our Champions”, a heartwarming initiative, brought smiles to the faces of the indigenous children in Subic. The FBM Foundation, in partnership with St. Francis Learning Center Foundation, Inc., aimed to not only provide essential items but also create a Halloween day filled with joy, traditions, and cheer.
The FBM Foundation, along with St. Francis Learning Center Foundation, Inc., hosted the “Treats for Our Champions”. This initiative enabled the donation of 60 bags of rice, 1,500 cans of assorted goods, 50 condiment packs, and 60 cartons of milk. In addition to these supplies, the kids enjoyed a Halloween party filled with cultural pride and treats. The children organized traditional Indigenous dance performances and activities that showcased their talent and heritage.
We went beyond the donation by creating a meaningful event that fostered joy, pride and community spirit. The smiles of the children and their laughter when they exchanged gifts was a true testament to the success this initiative. Lulu Barreras is the Project Coordinator for the FBM Foundation in the Philippines.
The FBM Foundation also distributed treats themed around Halloween, such as candies and small toy, which added an extra bit of joy for the children. Children who received toys before returned them to the event, saying that they wanted to give them away. The caregivers of St. Francis Learning Center foundation instilled strong values into the children through this heartwarming behaviour.
The “Keepy-Uppy Charity Challenge”, a partnership between FBM Foundation, and FBMDS (the online casino gaming provider of the group), was celebrated during the G2E Las Vegas Casino Gaming Trade Show.
Visitors to the booth took part in this challenge, adding $1 for each keepy-uppy. FBM Foundation was able to raise nearly $1,000 thanks to the participation of all attendees. This helped to bring to life the “Treats for Our Champions”. The collective effort transformed fun into a meaningful support for the children of Subic.
The FBM Foundation is committed to helping communities in more ways than one. The Foundation builds and nurtures relationships with communities by forming meaningful partnerships, such as those with St. Francis Learning Center Foundation, Inc.
