The Tote will again highlight the benefits of pool betting and provide a better customer experience online at tote.co.uk ahead of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival, which takes place in less than one week.
The Tote will be offering PS1 million Placepot every day at the Cheltenham Festival for the first time. Placepot is the most popular bet at the Tote, with over 40,000 punters participating across four days. Cheltenham has returned an average of PS2,361.39 in Placepot dividends over the past five years. Cheltenham also has returned huge Placepot dividends over the past 10 years, including 2019: PS91283.90. Each Placepot pool will be open on the night before during Cheltenham.
Customers can also enjoy the popular Betting Tournaments of The Tote. To be eligible for prizes, players must sign up for the Betting Tournament, place at least three wagers of PS10 each, and participate in daily social, competitive betting. Fixed prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers every day, and the top 10 profit-makers will be invited to participate in the PS25, 000 Jumps Series Final.
Tote Fantasy Pools, which are new for 2023 will be available every day of the Festival. Tote Fantasy, Tote’s latest product, is a mix of the popular Ten to Follow game and elements of Fantasy Football. To win a share of the Jackpot, players are allowed to choose one horse from each of the seven featured races. You can also apply boosts to your favorite team members. You can play with your friends and other players in the new Private Leagues feature. It costs only PS7.
TOTE HAS THE BEST EVER VALUE ON AND AWAY FROM THE RACECOURSE
Tote’s commitment to providing the best value to customers is one of its top priorities. Following its introduction at British racecourses in November 2020, Tote Guarantee will now be available to racegoers who place their wagers online at tote.co.uk or on-course at Cheltenham. Tote Guarantee offers customers the best of both the Tote return and the Starting Price.
If the Tote Win price exceeds SP, the customer will receive the higher price.
The Tote will offer a free PS1 Placepot to all online customers on the opening Tuesday Festival. This is in addition to the first PS1 million Placepot Pool for the week. Customers must sign up for this promotion. After that, they will receive a PS1 Tote Credit which can be used on Tuesday 14 March. The Tote, in partnership with Racing Post, will distribute complimentary copies of “Cheltenham”, a pocket-sized paper that will assist racegoers throughout the week.
Digital customers of Tote (betting via tote.co.uk or via text bets) will receive Tote+ (Tote Plus), which gives them a 10% price increase on their Win and Place wagers, as well as 5% across Exotics and the Placepot. Last year, Commander of Fleet was 50/1 in Coral Cup. However, Tote+ paid PS67.65. That’s 33% more than the original price.
Alex Frost, UK Tote Group Chief executive, stated that the Tote Group will be more competitive than ever during the Cheltenham Festival, regardless of whether you’re betting on-course or online. Every day we guarantee a PS1 million Placepot, which allows customers to place small bets and still win big with our marquee bet. Last year, customers who bet with the Tote online were more than PS250 ahead of their stakes across the Win singles and significantly more when they bet on exotics. This was due to the Tote Guarantee or Tote+ boosts to winnings. These are available throughout the Festival and every day during the racing calendar. Customers can also participate in our Tournaments throughout the week, as well as the Tote Fantasy game. The Tote is the best place to bet on racing, with racecourses and the entire sport directly benefitting from every bet placed online. We hope to see as many people as possible at the Tote this Cheltenham week.
Ten to Follow players participating in the 2022/23 Jumps Season Game have until Monday 13 March to make their changes. This window allows them to transfer up to two horses from their stables, and they could win the top prize of PS60,000 or one of the cash prizes, down to 500th. Changes can be made until Monday 13 March at 5 p.m.
