MAD Lions of Laure joins several other prominent organizations in the scene like Natus Vincere and FaZe Clan, as well as G2 Esports.

VALORANT Game Changers was launched by Riot Games, creators of League of Legends. It is currently the most watched esports women’s tournament. OverActive has signed a Spanish team in one of the most prestigious esports titles, and is now investing in MAD Lions. This new team will offer women in Spain a variety of esports options and provide additional engagement opportunities for the community.
We continue to concentrate on audience growth. We are also aware of the needs and desires of the female gaming community. Alyson Walker, OverActive Media’s CCO, stated that VALORANT Games Changers was a perfect addition to existing esports teams. She added, “We’re excited about supporting the competitiveness and driving more inclusion in esports.”
OverActive has been committed to supporting the pro-path. This has been demonstrated through our participation in Contenders in Overwatch League, Call of Duty Challengers within the Call of Duty League, and the NA VALORANT Challengers League. OverActive is known for building great teams and developing young talent within our professional teams. “Valorant is the fastest-growing esport2 today, and we are proud to support it and give players from all genders an optimal pathway to pro play,” Adam Adamou (Interim CEO & Chief Strategist Officer at OverActive Media) said.
OverActive’s investment into VALORANT Game Changers is part its ongoing focus on women and gaming. The company announced earlier this month its partnership with The Collective, a division within global Sports, Music and Culture agency Wasserman. The Collective works to increase the participation of women in entertainment, sports and culture. Both groups share a common goal: to understand, address, and drive solutions for gender equality in esports.
MAD Lions Laure will make her first public appearance at the VCT Game Changers 2023 Open Qualifier, a Riot Games-hosted tournament open to women and non-binary players that runs from April 5-9, 2023.
