Met Day from Kenilworth and Dubai Super Saturday saw increased turnover starting in 2022. The highest growth was achieved by The Dubai World Cup card, which experienced a 12 percent increase, up HK$33.6m.
With HK$54.5m (approx.), the Dubai World Cup had the highest turnover of any race in Q1. The contest saw $6.9m in wagers, with The Saudi Cup (HK$48.4m), and The Dubai Sheema Classic (36.5m) ranked second- and third.
The new fixtures for 2023 were Lightning Stakes Day, and The Saudi Cup. Both had strong turnover figures of HK$253m. $33.2m and HK$197.8m respectively (approx. $25.2m), respectively.
Equinox was the Q1 winner with the shortest price, winning the Dubai Sheema Classic at odds 1.6. The Dubai World Cup night produced the longest priced winner with Danyah, 69.7, winning the Al Quoz Sprint.
World Pool returns back to UK for Q2
World Pool will be open for 2000 Guineas Day in Newmarket, 6 May. This is one of eight UK fixtures during Q2.
Over 20 countries will be able to place bets on huge global pools for Derby Day (3/6/2013) from Epsom, as well as all five days Royal Ascot (20-24 June), while World Pool will debut at Newbury for Lockinge Stakes Day (20/05/2013).
The record for the highest turnover was set last year by Commonwealth Cup Day at Royal Ascot, which saw bets totaling HK$351.8m (approx. $44.8m/PS36.2m placed across seven races
